| Tuesday, Feb. 7 | The Catholic Cemeteries is pleased to host an additional
viewing of the Hospice Foundation of America's Educational Program Beyond Kübler-Ross: New Perspectives on Death, Dying and Grief
from 11:00am-1:30pm (bring a bag lunch, if you wish, beverages will be provided). This program explores the most current theoretical
perspectives on death, dying and grief, emphasizing areas where understandings of dying, death, and grief have been challenged and developed
since the 1969 publication of Kübler-Ross' epochal work, On Death and Dying.

educational program to provide memory enhancement techniques and social support for people in early stages of memory loss. This 12-week series
runs March 7-May 23 and Sept. 19-Dec. 19. A Memory Loss Service coordinated by Lyngblomsten Home- and Community-Based Services.

| May 31-June 2 | National Association for Lay Ministry (NALM) Annual Conference
This year's
NALM Annual Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, Virginia. The hotel, which is located minutes from downtown
Washington attractions (the National Mall, White House, Smithsonian...), has free shuttle service to Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
and the DC Metro. Crystal City is the business district located closest to National Airport. Preconference events, which include the Institute
for Lay Ministry Formation Directors and the Roundtable for Pastoral Associates and Parish life Coordinators, will be May 30-31. This is a great
professional development opportunity and a chance to visit the nation's capital! |
